When do you first recall wanting a career in medicine?
I always knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. While in nursing school, I discovered I loved the atmosphere, pace, and taking care of patients in the emergency room. After 1 year of ER nursing, I decided to go back to school for nurse practitioner.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I chose Family Medicine so I could care for patients of all ages and not be limited to just children or adults.
What do you like to do outside of Crossing Healthcare?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to Illini football games, reading, and walking our chocolate Labrador named, Chief.
